The World
Traditional Image: A central dancer, often nude, is surrounded by an oval wreath frame. There are animals in the four corners of the card, much like the Wheel of Fortune card.
Symbolism: The wreath is the continual cycle of life, a symbol of completeness. The four animals in the corners represent the four elements (cherub for water, bull for earth, lion for fire, and eagle for air). The dancer signifies happiness and joy.
Overall Meaning: A long-term project is about to come to completion. You're going to accomplish something that you've been working towards for a very long time. It's about success, celebration and fulfillment. The World card can also signify travel, usually a lengthy and significant trip. Possibly a long-awaited vacation.
