Apple Nut Stuffing

A delicious harvest side-dish, that goes well with meat or poultry.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups bread cubes, toasted
  • 3 cups apples, diced and peeled
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup apple cider or juice
  • 1 tsp sage
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Preparation
Preheat your oven to 350F. Melt butter in a pan, and saute the onion and celery until just soft. Combine with the other ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix well. Bake in a covered dish for 1 1/2 hours.
