Pagan Calendars and Datebooks for 2012
Any calendar can tell you the date, but having a Pagan calendar can be helpful too. Most of these Pagan calendars and datebooks will also have the Sabbats marked as well as moon phases and other spiritual dates.
Several of my favorite publishers don't seem to have calendars this year, so I'm afraid this collection is mainly Llewellyn products. Have to admit, they have a good line-up of calendars, datebooks and almanacs.

Pagan Daily Devotionals
If you are not already familiar with this from my earlier website, the Pagan Daily Devotionals are a thought for the day. It's not supposed to be instructional necessarily, but something just for fun. Some days are jokes, puzzles, quotes, various spiritual thoughts and things you might be interested to know. Sometimes it's just an idea, and sometimes I suggest a way to use that idea during your day. It's really a mix of lots of Pagan stuff.
Gerald Gardner
by Terri Paajanen
Gerald Brosseau Gardner was born in 1884, in Blundellands, England. He was the son of a local justice of the peace, and had three brothers. His family was no stranger to witchcraft. One of his ancestors was burned as a witch in 1610, and even Gardner's own grandfather married a women who was rumored to be a witch.
Starting Your Book of Shadows
Contrary to popular belief, a Book of Shadows is not a specific book or text. Many movies and television shows portray it as an ancient and mystical book filled with spells and incantations. Those new to the Craft soon realize that is not the case. Every Wiccan writes and keeps their own personal Book of Shadows. Find out more
How Old is Wicca?
I've noticed this can be a touchy subject among Wiccans and other Pagans: the history of the Wiccan religion. People (usually novices) often make statements about the ancient origins of Wicca, or how Wicca has been practiced for thousands of years.
Sorry folks, but this is simply not accurate. Read more
A guidebook to help you find the Divine in nature.
A wonderfully spiritual book that draws you outdoors to create a deeper connection to the wild world of Mother Nature. As with other Starhawk books, such as the Spiral Dance, her writing is downright soulful. Thankfully, this isn't another book that rehashes endless and superficial elemental correspondences. keep reading....
Wiccan or Witch?
One of the biggest sore points among Wiccans is the improper usage of the terms "Wiccan" and "Witch". Too many people use the terms interchangeably, presuming that they both mean the same thing. They do not.
Wiccan
Wicca is a religion, and someone who follows that religion is called a Wiccan. Sometimes it can be difficult to accurately define Wicca, and not all Wiccans will define themselves the same way. Keep reading
Sabbat Basics
The Wiccan calendar is often referred to as the "Wheel of the Year", emphasizing the cyclical nature of the world around us. Each holiday has a wealth of history and tradition surrounding it, but this page should explain the basics of each Sabbat and how we celebrate.Read more
Isis
Isis was the supreme Mother Goddess of ancient Egypt. She was married to her brother Osiris, and their child was the God Horus. The three Deities made up the holy trinity of the Egyptian pantheon. Isis was not a distant Goddess, but one who spent time among mankind. She taught many skills to the women, such as grinding corn, spinning fibers and reading. Isis was also associated with the moon, magick, motherhood, civilization and was the patron to all priestesses. Read on

Pagan Symbols
Pentacle
The five-pointed star within a circle is the most common Pagan symbol, and it is typically used to identify oneself as a Pagan or Wiccan. The five points represent the 4 elements plus the spirit, and the circle connects them all. A five-pointed star without the circle is sometimes called a pentagram, rather than a pentacle.
